Leak Tracing Dye for General Applications
Pelagic OceanDYE is a fluorescent pink leak tracing dye designed for use in a variety of subsea environments including subsea control systems, risers and pipelines.
It is typically dosed at a ratio of 100-200ppm and has been optimised for subsea leak detection using the OceanSENSE high intensity LED leak detection unit.
OceanDYE has excitation and detection frequencies at approximately 540nm and 580nm respectively and is the recommended unit for leak tracing with Pelagic water based subsea fluids.
Pelagic OceanDYE is suitable for discharge in the UK North Sea and many other regions of the world although customers in Norway and other very environmentally sensitive areas should consider Pelagic EnviroDYE.
Environmentally Superior Leak Tracing DyePelagic EnviroDYE is specifically designed for discharge in super environmentally sensitive areas and can be used for leak tracing in a variety of subsea environments including subsea control systems, risers and pipelines.
Pelagic EnviroDYE is available as a package with the OceanSENSE high intensity LED leak detection unit and is not sold separately as it has very specific detection frequencies and attributes that have been specifically optimised for use with the OceanSENSE units.
Pelagic EnviroDYE is the most environmentally acceptable dye available to the offshore industry and is based on naturally occurring ingredients.
The Pelagic OceanSENSE and EnviroDYE package can be rented from either Niche Products or from the OceanSENSE manufacturer OceanTools.
Leak Detection Systems for ROV, Diver and AUV Applications
The OceanSENSE range of LED based underwater leak detections systems are extremely compact and versatile and highly recommended for leak tracing with Pelagic subsea control fluids and with the OceanDYE and Pelagic EnviroDYE products.
The OceanSENSE systems are up to 50 times as sensitive as ‘black light’ detectors and do not require the ROV lights to be extinguished during detection phase.
The OceanSENSE product range consists of 5 variations covering Single Wavelength (SW), Triple Wavelength (TW), ROV, AUV, Diver Held (DH) and Micro Miniature Systems.
The OceanSENSE leak detection equipment (and relevant Pelagic Dyes) can be rented from Niche Products or from the manufacturer OceanTools.
